Charlie Reid Older than his wife, Janis, by several years, Charlie is the type of man people entrust to hold their life savings. Charlie is articulate, but only in his very comfortable world of business. With his emotions, he is at a complete loss. Charlie is a sensitive man unable to express himself. He has lived hoping emotion could be avoided, but this now has come to the surface in his life. Janis Reid Janis is an attractive woman who dresses in a conservative, classic style. She is a devoted mother. Her adult life was typical: cars pools, clubs, tennis, lunches and the like. Since her two daughters left home, she faces a bare, unemotional marriage. She has everything but depth in her relationship with Charlie. she deperately wants Charlie's attention, something he has not given her.
Walter Hammitt Around the same age as Janis, Walter is a handsome man. He is nice enough, pleasant enough -- but the type of person of whom one tires quickly. Walter's attempt to dress in a sophisticated manner fails, although he thinks he looks quite the dapper gentleman. He is manipulative and greedy with only a surface consideration of Janis. The truth of Walter is that he is more interested in getting Charlie's business and home, than in Janis.
Gert Greenberg An elegantly attractive woman around the same age as Charlie, Charitable with a rather cherubic nature. Gert wouldn't hurt a flea. She does have a fervent, fanciful imagination. She is a very fashionable, but conservative dresser. Like Janis, Gert wishes her marriage had more depth. Sid Greenberg Older than Gert, Sid is neither handsome nor homely, but a man who has worked years to develop the stern, hard face of a successful business executive. However, this cracks when he arrives at Charlies house dressed in his old comfortable pajamas, worn robe and slippers. At Charlies's, Sid is forlorn humble and bewildered. *Your Comments are always Welcomed Click on [12] below* |
